About me
I'm Ronen Gal, a social worker with over 40 years of experience working with people across every stage of life — children and teenagers, couples and families, adults and the elderly, and soldiers and reservists. I've worked across a wide range of settings: I headed the elder-care field and managed a day center for the elderly, served as a youth-law welfare officer, and for years accompanied soldiers as a mental health officer (kaban) in the Eilat sector.
Military liaison
As a mental health officer during reserve duty, I spent years supporting bases near Eilat — assessing and advising on soldiers' fitness for their roles, and providing individual guidance and counseling to soldiers (including official letters) on matters such as placement, staying close to home, and difficulties arising from service.
Supporting families through crisis
I specialize in co-parenting guidance and coordination for couples going through divorce, and in crisis intervention — when the family unit is breaking apart and there's a need to stabilize and build a new way forward.
Therapeutic approach
Alongside traditional individual, couples and family therapy, I also offer music therapy — guitar — for those for whom words alone aren't always enough. The goal is always the same: professionalism alongside a warm, personal touch.
Services
A wide range of counseling, therapy and guidance — tailored to your specific need.
When something happens suddenly and it's hard to find your footing alone — a loss, a separation, a difficult event in the family — a fast, professional response can make a real difference. I'm available for close support in the first, critical days, alongside building a personalized plan for what comes next.
A structured program of about 10 sessions, with clear, achievable goals, suited to a specific, focused difficulty rather than a long-term process. Together we define at the outset exactly what we want to achieve, and work systematically toward it.
Drafting, editing and preparing professional documents for legal, welfare and military authorities. Getting a document, an opinion or a letter right can meaningfully affect the outcome of a request to an authority — I bring years of experience working with these bodies.
Guidance and coordination when the family unit is breaking apart, for the benefit of the children and both parents. The goal is to build a shared parenting framework that lets parents keep raising their children together, even once the relationship itself has ended.
Guidance in matters relating to youth law, drawing on experience as a youth-law welfare officer. I help parents and teens understand the process, their rights and obligations, and navigate it as smoothly as possible.
Counseling in cases requiring engagement with the military, drawing on experience as a mental health officer in the Eilat sector. Whether it's a placement request, wanting to be closer to home, or a difficulty arising from service, I help you understand how to approach the relevant bodies and what documents and processes are needed.
A personal therapeutic space, for individuals, couples and families alike. Every process is tailored to the pace and needs of whoever is in the room — whether it's a personal, a couple's, or a family journey.
Guitar-based therapy — another tool for when words alone aren't always enough. Music can open a door to feelings that are hard to put into words, complementing traditional talk therapy.
For the general public (such as "the circle of life"), as well as study days on youth law, care and supervision. Talks and workshops are tailored to different audiences — parents, professionals and organizations — according to the need.
A focused consultation session around a specific parenting dilemma. Sometimes all it takes is one focused conversation to get a professional perspective and find the right way forward.
A single, open and honest meeting to take stock and ask "where are we headed?" Sometimes you just need a moment to pause, speak openly with an experienced, objective person, and see the picture from a new angle.
Help arranging trips and getaways in Eilat and the Arava for people with disabilities and special needs. I help plan and accompany these trips so that people facing more complex mobility or circumstances can still enjoy quality leisure experiences.
Remote service, nationwide
Most sessions are held online — via Zoom, WhatsApp and FaceTime — so geographic distance is never a barrier. You can reach me from anywhere in the country.
Temporary emergency housing (Eilat only)
Alongside the online service, there's a housing unit adjacent to the therapy center in Eilat, for short-term stays during crises (such as divorce or bankruptcy) — to allow space for organizing and building an initial care plan. This service requires travelling to Eilat in person; contact me for details.
